ABOUT ABOUT

Are you a creative high school sophomore, junior, or senior? If you are considering a career in architecture, design, or the industrial arts, bring a portfolio of the best creative work you've accomplished in the past five years to receive FREE feedback from talented artists, architects, and designers representing architecture + design programs from our region's colleges and universities.

While you're here, check out our exhibition Degrees of Design: Student Work from Local Architecture + Design Schools. There is no cost to attend this event or any of our exhibitions throughout the year.

Colleges represented will include:

  • Delaware College of Art + Design
  • Drexel University
  • Moore College of Art + Design
  • Philadelphia Univeristy
  • Temple University
  • The University of the Arts

These creative professionals and educators will provide constructive reviews of your work, pointing out what you do well and where you might want to focus your creative efforts to improve your skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn about each college's unique strengths and the majors they offer - and to find out if they'd be a good fit for your unique talents and personality.

Portfolio reviews take approximately 10 minutes each. The last portfolio review will begin at 2:00 PM, so please arrive early to be sure you get the chance to meet with one or more of the reviewers. We encourage you to plan a visit of at least 30 minutes so that you can meet with at least three reviewers to get a broad spectrum of feedback - the more feedback you receive, the better your future work can be! If you hear multiple reviewers comment on the same strength or perceived weakness, you'll know its something worth focusing on.

Career options for those with degrees in architecture or design include:

  • Architecture
  • Automotive + Transportation Design
  • Fashion + Footwear Design
  • Game + Multi-Media Design
  • Graphic Design
  • Industrial Design
  • Interior + Lighting Design
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Product + Furniture Design
  • Systems Design
  • Urban Planning + Design
  • Web + User-Experience Design
  •

Presented in partnership with AIA Philadelphia. This program is open to anyone interested in a career in architecture, design, or the industrial arts, whether in high school or not. There is no upper age limit for participation.
