ABOUT ABOUT

= SOLD OUT =

Join us in honoring Jan Gehl, winner of the 2016 Edmund N. Bacon Prize for his career spent advocating for the design of active, healthy, inclusive places. Gehl is founding partner of Gehl Architects and has published several books on designing cities. On stage, Jan will join in conversation with the Philadelphia Inquirer's architecture critic, Inga Saffron.

Also honored at this ceremony will be the winners of the 2016 Better Philadelphia Challenge. This year's urban design challenge focused on Philadelphia's Mantua and Belmont neighborhoods and how they might be developed to encourage healthy and active lifestyles, thereby improving public health among residents.

The ceremony will be followed by a coffee + dessert reception.

With the purchase of a VIP ticket, we invite you to join us and the award winners before the ceremony at 5:15pm for our VIP Reception which will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, and live music. In attendance will be Jan Gehl, the competition winners, local dignitaries, and our invaluable sponsors, without whom this program would not be possible.
