ABOUT ABOUT

An introductory training session for K-12 classroom teachers and volunteer architects (+ architecture students) interested in participating in the 2018 relaunch of our Architecture in Education program. School principals are also welcome to attend! Come learn about the AIE program, how it's been redesigned to fit modern classrooms, and how to implement it from the educators' perspective. Volunteer architects and architecture students will learn how to partner with teachers, how to help them prepare for your weekly visits, and the benefits of volunteering. We'll also take this opportunity to introduce teachers and the volunteer architects and architecture students who will partner with them to implement this program.

Please register for this event, then follow the instructions below for either "teachers" or "architects".

Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided.

About Architecture in Education (AIE)
The AIE program, which brings an architect, architecture student, and educational materials into K-12 classrooms, allows children to explore how architecture and design impact their daily lives, teaches them the design process, and gives them the opportunity to use their design skills to address a real-world design issue that affects their own lives. We are especially interested in this program reaching Philadelphia public school students in grades 3-5, but the program is available to students of any grade level.
