ABOUT ABOUT

Are you a creative high school sophomore, junior, or senior? Find a home for yourself at one of the region’s leading architecture + design collegiate programs! If you are considering a career in architecture, design, or the industrial arts, bring a portfolio of the best creative work you've completed in the past five years to receive FREE feedback from talented artists, architects, and designers representing architecture + design programs from our region's colleges and universities.
Colleges represented will include:

  • Delaware College of Art + Design
  • Drexel University
  • Philadelphia University
  • Temple University
  • The University of the Arts
  • The University of Pennsylvania

These creative professionals and educators will provide constructive reviews of your work, pointing out what you do well and where you might want to focus your creative efforts to improve your skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn about each college's unique strengths and the majors they offer - and to find out if they'd be a good fit for your unique talents and personality.

Career options for those with degrees in architecture or design include:

  • Architecture
  • Automotive + Transportation Design
  • Fashion + Footwear Design
  • Furniture + Houseware Design
  • Game + Multi-Media Design
  • Graphic Design
  • Industrial + Product Design
  • Interior Architecture + Design
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Lighting Design
  • Scenic + Props Design (for theater, film, + TV)
  • Systems Design
  • Urban Planning + Design
  • Web + User-Experience Design

Portfolio reviews take approximately 10 minutes each. The last portfolio review will begin at 2:50 PM, so please arrive early to be sure you get the chance to meet with one or more of the reviewers. We encourage you to plan a visit of at least 30 minutes so that you can meet with at least three reviewers to get a broad spectrum of feedback - the more feedback you receive, the better your future work can be! If you hear multiple reviewers comment on the same strength or perceived weakness, you'll know it’s something worth focusing on.

Presented by the Center for Architecture and Design in partnership with AIA Philadelphia. This program is open to anyone interested in studying architecture, design, or the industrial arts, whether in high school or not. There is no upper age limit for participation.

*If you are a design professional, college student, or recent college graduate looking for employment in a design-related field, check out our Architecture + Design Portfolio Review + Job Fair on Sunday, October 16th.
