POPUP PLACE
DesignPhiladelphia, a signature event of the Philadelphia Center for Architecture, celebrates its 10th anniversary with PopUp Place: an experiential benefit & cocktail party. This year’s Festival kick-off is hosted by Emmy Award-winning digital agency Bluecadet in Fishtown. Come explore how inspired design intersects cutting-edge technology while enjoying local food from 12th Street Catering and specialty cocktails from Western Grace Brandy, Art in the Age, and Pilsner Urquell. PopUp Place starts at 6PM and ends at 8PM, but you don’t leave so soon! Your ticket includes admission into the afterparty, from 8PM – 11PM, in the grotto-like production studio at Bluecadet.
REFLECTING DESIGN SILENT AUCTION
Philadelphia is home to nationally and internationally renowned artists and designers. Twenty of them have been selected to reimagine an unassuming IKEA mirror. Bidding on these one-of-a-kind creations will begin online September 23rd - October 7. The kickoff party on October 8th, from 6-8pm, is the last chance to get these one-of-a-kind items before they go! For more information and a list of participating artists/designers, click here.
AFTERPARTY
And the party continues from 8PM – 11PM in Bluecadet’s tucked away production studio. Join the Next Generation as they celebrate the advent of the next ten years in design with DJ Handsome Sam, offerings from local breweries, a food truck lineup, and Crabbie's Ginger Beer.
