Are you a college junior, senior, or design professional considering a new career in architecture, design, or the industrial arts? Find a home for yourself at one of the region’s leading architecture and design companies! Bring a portfolio of the best creative work you've completed in the past five to ten years to receive FREE feedback from talented architects, designers, and planners representing a range of architecture + design employers from the greater Philadelphia region.
These creative professionals will provide constructive reviews of your work, pointing out what you do well and where you might want to focus your creative efforts to improve your skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn about each employer's unique focus, culture, and available jobs - and to discover if they'd be a good fit for your unique talents and personality.
Portfolio reviewers and employers will include those working in the following fields:
- Architecture
- Fashion + Footwear Design
- Furniture + Houseware Design
- Game + Multi-Media Design
- Graphic Design
- Industrial + Product Design
- Interior Architecture + Design
- Landscape Architecture
- Lighting Design
- Scenic + Props Design (for theater, film, + TV)
- Systems Design
- Urban Planning + Design
- Web + User-Experience Design
Portfolio reviews take approximately 10 minutes each. The last portfolio review will begin at 2:50 PM, so please arrive early to be sure you get the chance to meet with one or more of the reviewers. We encourage you to plan a visit of at least 30 minutes so that you can meet with at least three reviewers to get a broad spectrum of feedback - the more feedback you receive, the stronger your portfolio can become! If you hear multiple reviewers comment on the same strength or perceived weakness, you'll know it’s something worth focusing on.
Presented by the Center for Architecture and Design in partnership with AIA Philadelphia and Temple University, Tyler School of Art. This program is open to anyone interested in a career in architecture, design, or the industrial arts, whether in college or not. There is no upper age limit for participation.
