Ever wonder how Philadelphia became the city it is today?
This engaging 10-part series investigates the social, political, economic, and design trends that contributed to Philadelphia's development. Taught by renowned local architects, urban planners, archaeologists, and historians, lecture topics include: major urban planning projects such as the Benjamin Franklin Parkway & Society Hill, our impressive palette of architectural styles, and Philadelphia's immigrant history.

Train To Be A Tour Guide!
Individuals who attend eight or more talks in this 10-part series are invited to attend two additional training sessions (May 26 + June 2nd) to become certified as a volunteer tour guide for the Philadelphia Center for Architecture (CFA) and the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia (PAGP). Leading tours is not only fun, but gives you greater insight into and appreciation for the city we and our ancestors have built.

     AIA Philadelphia Members: $15 individual lectures | $125 full series
     Students: $10 individual lectures | $75 full series
     CFA + PAGP Tour Guides: $5 individual lectures | $50 series
