Explore the world of architecture + design with your 9-12yo child at these fun family workshops! Children will be introduced to the science and art of design while being challenged to design and construct (with your help) their own solutions to each workshop's unique challenge. A great introduction to the career opportunities available in the fields of architecture, design, and construction.

WORKSHOP DETAILS:
- Nov 26 | Gingerbread Architect! | $35 per house
- Have fun with gingerbread, royal icing, colorful sprinkles, sparkly decorations, and glittery sugars! Your gingerbread house will come alive with candies, gumdrops, peppermints, sprinkles, cookies, and more.
- For this workshop ONLY: One ticket allows entry for a family or group of friends (up to 5 people) to share in building one house (ex: 3 children + 2 adults). Open to younger ages, with parental supervision. Purchase 1 ticket for each gingerbread house you wish to build and take home.
- This workshop is offered ONLY on Nov 26th. Each ticket includes all gingerbread pieces, candy, and icing needed to build ONE complete Gingerbread House to take home! You'll also receive a base and box so you can safely transport your creation.
- Dec 3 | Cardboard City | $15 per child
- Design your own individual neighborhood of buildings, parks, and infrastructure in cardboard, then work together as one team to build an entire, functional city! Learn to think like a real urban planner.
- This workshop is offered ONLY on Dec 3rd. Ticket includes entry for one child and one accompanying adult.
- Dec 10 | Be A K'NEX Architect | $15 per child
- Become an architect for the day! Learn to draw blueprints, design an amazing syscraper, build a model, and work together to assemble your towers into an exciting cityscape - all using Pennsylvania-designed and fabricated K'NEX building toys.
- This workshop is offered ONLY on Dec 10th. Ticket includes entry for one child and one accompanying adult.
- Dec 17 | Animal House | $15 per child
- The challenge? Design and construct (with an adult's help) a mini home for an animal of your choosing – but you have to make sure the home you design will keep your animal happy based on it's natural behaviors.
- This workshop is offered ONLY on Dec 17th. Ticket includes entry for one child and one accompanying adult.
